Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it’s designed to do.. Bought a week ago directly from Wahoo. I read numerous reviews and was leary to purchase due to mediocre reviews. From the moment I unboxed the device to taking off on my first ride this morning, the process of setting up and installing was simple and effortless!! I had my cell on me during the 22 mile ride which isn’t an issue since I carry it with me anyway. The device sync’ed up to my cell almost immediately. It started without hesitation when I started my ride and never faulted. The app provides all of the data i’m Looking for.. I was also impressed with the ability for family members to monitor my presence during my ride. After one ride I can report that I am very pleased with the Mini’s performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size and Functions When riding I only want to see two things: 1) Time, so I know when to hydrate and refuel, and 2) Heart Rate, to control my effort. The Elemnt Mini is perfect. I can have only Time and HR on the display, it is very light and reliable. I was so pleased I ended up buying a spare and one for my girlfriend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple yet powerful I have been using this for a week and so far it has been great, all of the features are flawless and the elemnt bike app is great. Bluetooth pairing takes no time and its flawless too. When I dont want to use my phone I only ride with the sensor and so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the basics at a great price! I ride two pedal assist bikes up in the mountains of Idaho. At 71, I am just out to get some exercise and burn off a few calories. I was using a Garmin 820 that had too many features and needed charging before every ride (my rides tend to be at least 1/2 centuries). The element mini allows me to monitor just what I need and I don't have to worry if it rains or constantly charge it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this computer I have been looking for a basic computer that had some extra functions after my old one broke. The Elemnt Mini fit the bill as I wanted just basic speed, distance, and a clock for most of my commuting rides with the ability to do more for my longer training rides. This was just what I was looking for as I can use just the speed sensor for daily commutes but also have the ability to see texts and calls. For longer rides I can sync to the app and get more detailed information. I also got the out front mount for my road bike and threw the included stem mount on my mountain bike so I can switch between the two without any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cycling computer if you ride with your phone It's so great I can't stop looking at it and caused my first bike crash

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ease of use After being pleased with the Bolt (on my own bike), I decided to get the Mini for the wife. The unit is simple to use, priced competitively, functions well, easy to read, and easy to set up via your smart phone. The only negative was that the speed sensor battery was dead on arrival...presumably movement during shipping turns it on and runs the battery dead. This issue should be addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent New Computer I bought this about 3 weeks ago and it has been a great addition to my cycling set up. Great value and connects seamlessly with my IPhone for accurate GPS. Downloads to Strava with ease. The bonus of coming with a speed sensor makes this a great buy and cheaper than the Garmin Edge. Going to add a cadence sensor, heart monitor and an out front mount at a later stage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely Worth The Money. For $100 there isn't much more you can ask for. Pairing your phone to the device makes setting up and modifying the display pages on the Mini extremely easy and convenient. Wish it could handle more than 3 data fields, I get some data fields will require more screen real estate, but it would be perfect if it were adaptive. The speed and cadence sensors are responsive, and register speed as quickly as other accelerometers. Live tracking feature is easy and straight forward to use, start the ride, and spam the link everywhere. Notifications are easy to read and displays the beginning of most messages (x number of word count). For a complete package of $140, Elemnt Mini with included speed sensor $100, and the cadence sensor for $40, beats other competitors by a long shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product, some thoughts for improovement The mini wirks fine. But if the tour is started in the garage where no gps is available the tour will not be tracked at all - but the gps would be available just seconds later...elemnt could track after gps is available - but thats not the case. Transfering the routes to strava is not very relaible, would be nice if this works better (but i could not find a reproduceable issue for not uploading to strava...)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I have been using it for about 2 weeks and despite some initial issues with the app and my unfamiliarity with how to have it connect to the Mini, it has been working well, measuring time, distance, heart rate, cadence, speed, calories. Just wish there was a K-Edge out front mount that it could fit on. Apparently only Bolt does.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool, readable display Works straight out of the box, easy to set up and connect to supplied sensor. Easy to use with winter gloved hands too! Make sure the sensors you have will pair with the mini, it's not ALL BlueTooth and ANT+ sensors compatible. It's quick to pair and get ready for a ride, and responsive whilst riding, the upload features are easy, and customising the display is straightforward from the companion phone app. Works similarly between IoS and Android variants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great Purchased the Mini a month ago. Setup was super easy and it works as advertised

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good features I have had this for a couple of months, quite often it has trouble paring with the app. I t pairs with the sensors well. I find that when it does pair with the app it some how drops out at around 50 Km so I lose distance traveled etc. This is really frustrating!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Valid product Light product, small, very clear digits, very comfortable pagination. Stable tracking, including App. No problems with Strava automatic upload. The battery is quite durable. Smartphone link is stable: just start Whahoo ELMNT App, then switch on ELEMNT MINI. The link automatically activates. I use it regularly with Wahoo TICKR Wahoo Hart-Rate Monitor, Wahoo RPM Cadence sensor, RPM Speed sensor. Missing functionalities at the moment: - temperature (from the device or from the smartphone) - GPS altitude (from the smartphone) - % battery charge (from the smartphone) - clearing old/all recorded tracks (Whahoo ELMNT Android App) - GPX export (Whahoo ELMNT Android App)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant peice of Kit "Works really well, I always have my phone with me so the extra expense and weight of a separate Bike GPS didn't seam worth it. I have Wahoo Ticker and RMP sensors so it literally took minutes to set up. Shows 3 data fields on as many pages as you need, on an easy to reed screen. One thing, unless you have the clock timer on, the screen appears to have been left blank in the bottom left hand corner, it would be easy for Wahoo to have added another data field, for some reason they have left it empty unless you want a clock?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simplicitt Purchased a few weeks ago. I like the ability to customize screens. Size of display and unit are nice also. Works well will my Wahoo BlueSC!
Date published: 2017-09-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little bike computer, but Great little bike computer, but i had to return to the store the BlueSC, because it was not compatible. The worst in that is i had to buy at higher price, the bundle speed and cadence sensors... and know i am stuck whit a spare speed sensor! Next year i will be buying a computer bike GPS, i dont know if il stay whit Wahoo or go whit Garmin...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent budget cycle computer This cycle computer is small, lightweight and well designed. I use it together with an iPhone, wahoo tickr and the wahoo speed sensor. I have been using it for several weeks and haven't had any problems. The only complaint I have is it only shows 3 items per page. I would prefer if it had the option to show 4.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable value Bought the mini a month ago. Extremely easy to setup and use. Was hoping to share it between 3 bikes by getting two extra speed sensors. Unfortunately it can only pair with one speed sensor. Very responsive to speed sensor but speed reading is quite delayed while only paired to the phone with no sensor. Love the live tracking feature. I'm unable to get a temperature or calorie reading when paired to the phone. Uploads instantly to Strava. The picture of the unit could be regarded as false advertising as the actual fonts are nowhere near as large in reality (large fonts was an important purchasing factor for me).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Element Mini - Undecided So i bought this computer and honestly its great, BUT... there is always a But. I thought it would work with speed, cadence and HR but for some reason it didnt connect all three together. I couldn't find online anywhere that it didn't connect the 3. Other than that i loved the product but instead i upgraded to the Element.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from When it works, it’s great! This is the third Element mini I have purchased. i bought it primarily for the heart rate monitor function and because i wanted an idea of what i need to do to burn 1k to 1.5k calories. The hrm wirks just fine, but the calirie counter is intermittent on all three machines. Sometimes it works, other times it just sits on zero for the entire 2 hour ride. Not impressed with the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not convincing I bought the Mini just a few weeks after it came out because I wanted a nice and not too expensive bike computer. Well, I have to say that it does the job it is supposed to do and that’s why I’m giving it three stars. The manifacture of the product is nice but not that good, in fact it feels a lot like a little heavy plastic box, but still, the bottoms work and the bc is solid. The problem is that, in my opinion, Wahoo could have put more features, like gradient, temperature, etc. I'm just surprised that you get so few datas for a 90€ bc. There are some bc that you can find for almost half the price which don’t have wireless sensors but they give you informations like the gradient, the altitude, the temperature and even an altimetry profile of your ride. I kind of regret having bought this, but, again, it does what it’s supposed to do. Also notice that it’s a little bit slow to connect to your phone and sometimes you will just have to re-start your phone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, at first... I'm having the same issue as JGlow - the mini has randomly restarted on my last 4 rides. All data was erased or shows overall time but no data. I've unpaired and done factory resets several times. The auto tracking no longer sends emails to my wife. The interface is great, battery life is great, customer service is great, but the product, ehh...
Date published: 2017-09-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great if you don't have a HR belt. I wasn't going to review the MINI, but after receiving 2 emails from Wahoo prompting me for review, I wanted to share my thoughts. I bought this the day it came out, responding to an email from Wahoo since I'm a happy owner of an ELEMNT. I wanted this for my wife, who doesn't need GPS routing but really just speed, cadence, heart rate and the ability to send her workouts to Strava. Only problem was she recently bought another company's BT/ANT+ heart rate belt/bridge which lets ANT+ sensors talk via Bluetooth to her phone. After my order but before delivery, Wahoo updated the website with more product info, including the MINI only works with Wahoo sensors and HRM. Adding their cadence and TICKR products would double the cost and make her current HRM useless. I'm sure the MINI is great, but I had an RMA before the package ever arrived. I understand why Wahoo chose to lock down this product, but I had such high hopes for it. If I didn't have other sensors or HRM, we would have kept the MINI.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Started Off Great, However....... I've had this Element Mini about 3 weeks now. Things started out great, my first two weeks it performed like a champ, tracking all my rides, sending links to my wife, etc. Last week all of a sudden in the middle of a ride the unit would just turn off, or show the screen to pair my phone again, or just reset to a new ride. Happened my last 4 rides. At first I thought it may be a fluke. Now I'm not so sure. I'm using it with an iPhone 7+ with the unit mounted out front on the Element Mount. I'm not sure where to go from here. I anticipating a century ride in a couple of weeks and now I'm not so sure I want to trust this in tracking my ride. If the unit performed as it did the first two weeks the rating would be 5 stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More disadvantages than advantages As others have pointed out, there’s too many bugs to be considered useful. Apart from not recording in the middle of a ride, it has also decided to stop displaying the distance. Connection to cadence and speed sensors can also drop out without notification.
Date published: 2018-09-09
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Better customer service than product I've have the element bolt mini, rpm sensor and cadence sensor. The only thing that I've had no issue with is the cadence sensor. The rpm sensor won't last longer than 8 miles before the battery is dead and the cell type batteries it takes are $3 each, I do about 10 miles a day and go through one at least a day. The bolt mini has stopped measuring distance rode, and just reads 0.0 miles the whole time with phone without phone I've done factory reset to all the units several times. I've gotten batteries once from customer service, I've gotten new rpm and cadence sensors also still have the same issue. There is a full new mini and rpm sensor on the from wahoo fitness as I type this, but I don't really feel like messing with it anymore, as my fitbit does all the same things (shows speed, distance, and gets txt messages) and also tracks heart rate, it just wont track cadence. At this point I may have wasted money not only on the unit bit also over $100 in batteries in the last few months and quite a bit of time having to constantly reset the unit, sensors, and rehook it all up and sync it again. It takes about 30 mins and at least $3 every time I want to use this product and take a bike ride at the same time. Customer service has been great but I believe the product is very buggy and has never once worked the way it was intended for me at least and thank you for reading.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Happy until yesterday night ** NO BACKLIGHT I bought the Elemnt Mini 6 months ago, I chose it mainly because I don´t like to be charging the battery every time I ride, I was really happy with all the functionalities but yesterday I realized the product does not feature a backlight display, because of this, it became useless during the entire last night ride.
Date published: 2018-01-25
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unreliable Constant problems with trying to start a ride, speed sensor dropping in and out, app is glitchy. Often I start a ride on the device but the app doesn’t acknowledge it. All software is up to date and I’m on ios. I think it’s a bluetooth issue. I’m also running a HR monitor and apple airpods, but who cares figure it out wahoo. My old bontrager computer worked flawlessly with the same devices. If I need to choose between Bluetooth devices then this wahoo mini is going to lose. It’s a shame because when it actually works the features are great. But the feature I need above all else is reliability, and the mini doesn’t have it.
