Weak LinkThis is certainly the weak link in the KICKR trainer. For me they only last about a year and $80 for a replacement is ridiculous. As others have said you can buy a replacement from Andy Mark for $16. I used a replacement belt from them (only difference is it is marked HTD vs Powergrip) all of last year with no issue. I do have to replace that one now for this year but I can buy 5 of those belts for the same price ast this one.

Tough and well designedI had to replace the belt after over two years of vigorous use. The installation is straight forward, the YouTube video provides very helpful step by step instructions.

Replacement beltMine broke after 3.5 years and close to 5,000 km. Pretty satisfied with the initial product. I found a replacement one for $16 online at andymark. Same belt.

No issues after 1.5 years of heavy use.I have been using the Kickr almost daily for about 1.5 years, and I have had no issues with the original belt like the other review. (BTW, you can purchase this belt elsewhere for less than $20.)

Another $80 already? Really?Not sure how long this belt is supposed to last, but I have only 737 miles on this trainer - purchased new - and now I have to purchase a new belt because the current one has broken. I have had to adjust the belt for slippage 4 times already, always afraid to over-tighten for fear of breaking or stretching too far. The company's video on belt adjustment is easy to follow, but regarding the belt tension, it is pretty ambiguous... "Tighten it until there is no more play, then turn it one full turn tighter". There are no instructions or indications about over-tightening. I have no idea if I was running it too loose or too tight and whether that has contributed to the failure or whether it is just a defective product. 737 miles is not even close to a set of race oriented tires much less a chain. Do I really need to replace the belt on this thing every 5 months? Seems ridiculous, not to mention the initial cost of the trainer.
